DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- The family of an elementary school teacher keeps growing and growing.
Emily Amlin adopted Adrian and Adrianna -- her fifth and sixth children from foster care -- on Wednesday. While the ceremony made it official, Adrian, Adrianna and her five other children have been a family for two years.
Amlin thought she was done adopting when she adopted her oldest children, Kayley and Chloe, in 2006. Six kids later, Amlin has a very full house.
“It's not always pretty, but I mean they're normal siblings, they argue with each other … but I am continually amazed at how well they all work together,” Amlin said.
Amlin has been raising the six of them as a single parent.
“It's hard, but I don't know any different, so I don't know if that's a good thing,” Amlin said. “I've always just done it myself.”
But she said she couldn’t have done any of it without the support of her family, friends and the church.
