DELHI TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- Delhi Township trustees approved a new addition to the Wall of Honor monument Wednesday night.

The monument, which currently consists of six walls, lists the names of the more than 2,000 Delhi residents who have served in America’s armed forces throughout the nation’s history. But those six walls are filling up fast.

“We just added 62 names this year. That would only leave us 24 more spaces,” said Jeff Lefler of the Delhi Township Veterans Association. “That’s not enough to keep doing what we pledged to do, and that is to honor the Delhi veterans.”

The veterans association is asking for donations to help construct a seventh granite wall and continue documenting township residents’ service to their country.
