COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A "critical missing" 79-year-old woman sought by police out of concern for her safety turned up hundreds of miles away in Effingham, Illinois Friday.
Elfriede Lang's family is on their way to pick her up, according to Colerain police spokesperson James Love.
Lang had left home Thursday morning, reportedly headed to Indian Hill. She was later spotted in Greenfield, Indiana, a city east of Indianapolis. Indiana State Police had issued a Silver Alert for Lang before she was found.
Love said Illinois State Police found Lang.
