CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Zoo announced the birth of four healthy baby skunks this week.
Knox, a first-time mom, gave birth to the kits on June 2. The two males and two females are all in healthy condition. Zoo officials said skunk kits are born with their eyes closed and a small amount of fur. They're born with distinct markings that stay with them for life -- think the famous white stripes down their backs and tails.
Zoo officials have not yet announced names for the four kits.
