CINCINNATI — A second man has been arrested and charged with the murder of a 25-year-old woman in Cincinnati earlier this month.

Police say on the evening of May 13, officers responded to the 800 block of Dutch Colony Drive and found a woman shot. She was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she died of her injuries. Police later identified the woman as Sharde Tarpley.

On May 15, police arrested 26-year-old DeShawn Willingham Jr. and charged him with Tarpley's murder. He is currently awaiting trial in Hamilton County Jail on a $500,000 bond.

At approximately noon on Thursday, Cincinnati homicide detectives and the U.S. Marshals arrested 21-year-old Taquil Overby in Eufaula, Alabama, roughly 90 minutes outside of Montgomery along the Georgia border.

It is not yet clear when Overby, also charged with murder, will appear in Hamilton County court.

Cincinnati Police will continue to investigate. Anyone with information is asked to call the Homicide Unit at (513) 352-3542.
