A time-lapse video of Cincinnati's first big snow of 2018 from the afternoon until late evening of January 12th.
Like the various vengeful noblewomen, motherless sons and all-around schemers who populate "Game of Thrones," we knew winter was on its way this week, but its arrival seemed sudden anyway.
Probably because it was -- the snow started Friday afternoon and blanketed the entire region within several hours.
It's cold and likely to get colder over the weekend as winds pick up and temperatures stay low, but there is an upside. Our sudden, sodden, glacial delivery is very pretty.
If you venture out into it, just drive slowly, bundle up and steer clear of undead ice dragons.
Watch the snow fall over Gilbert Avenue in our time lapse above.
