CINCINNATI -- Whether you've always dreamed of being a police officer or the idea is merely intriguing to you, there's a chance this weekend to learn more about working for the Cincinnati Police Department.

CPD is holding an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cincinnati Police Academy located at 800 Evans St.

Open house attendees can learn about the police exam, basic training and pay.

"It's an opportunity for people who are interested in becoming a police officer to kind of get a taste of what the job involves, see the various units in the police department, even try the voluntary fitness course," Lt. Joe Richardson said.

You can see a list of current openings here.

Another CPD open house will be held July 15 at the same time and place.
