CINCINNATI -- A 22-year-old man is accused in a chase and crash that caused a vehicle to catch fire in Walnut Hills.

Cincinnati police said the incident started Thursday night when an officer tried to pull over a black Hyundai Sonata.

The car had been reported stolen earlier by Cheviot police.

Investigators said Jamie Johnson Jr. didn’t comply with the order to stop and drove off in an “erratic and dangerous manner.”

Johnson eventually crashed into another vehicle near the area of William Howard Taft Road and Ashland Avenue.

The car he crashed into caught fire and was destroyed. No one was injured.

He was arrested at the scene and charged with receiving stolen property and failure to comply.

No other details have been released.
