CINCINNATI — Two teens were shot in Mt. Airy Saturday night, according to Cincinnati police.
According to officials on the scene, a 17-year-old boy and 13-year-old girl were on Hawaiian Terrace, and began running when they heard shots fired in the area. Police said the two were shot while running; the boy was shot in the back of his head, while the girl sustained two gunshot wounds to her back.
Police said neither child's injuries appear to be life-threatening, and both have been transported to local hospitals.
Officers on the scene said they found three distinct piles of shell casings near the shooting, and are unaware of how many shooters were involved.
Police have not released any suspect information at this time.
