CINCINNATI -- Tri-State running fans have a beautiful day to get out and celebrate Global Running Day, as Mayor John Cranley has officially declared Wednesday as "All4Run" Day.
More than 2 million people in more than 173 countries are taking part, which is very simple: Lace up a pair of shoes and head outside (or to a treadmill in your local gym). Make it official by signing the pledge at globalrunningday.org.
About 50 runners gathered at 6 a.m. for one- and four-mile runs at Fleet Feet Sports in Oakley, and more will gather at 6:30 p.m. at the Fleet Feet Sports in Blue Ash (9525 Kenwood Rd.) for four- and six-mile runs and free refreshments.
