CINCINNATI — Ten years after Charles Wesley Foster was shot to death inside his car on Glenwood Avenue, his murder remains unsolved and his family continue to search for answers.

Foster was sitting in his car in a driveway along Glenwood when police said three people approached him and started a fight that ended with someone shooting Wesley in the head. Since then, police have yet to make any arrests in connection to the case.

The Foster family and members of the community gathered Sunday night to pray in the spot where their loved one lost his life.

Wesley's family said they hope someone out there who may know something will come forward.

"I just want the truth to be told," said Chianne Foster, Wesley's sister. "I just want to know who killed my brother, that's all."

She said she remembers the day her brother was killed, March 9, 2010, very vividly.

"Very beautiful day," she said. "Very beautiful day. Everything went south. My mom called me and said 'get here now. Get here now. Wesley's just been shot.'"

Chianne said she checks in with Cincinnati Police every six months or so to see if officers have made any progress in her brother's case, but said not much has changed in the last decade.

She said she just wants to know who was responsible, and why they chose to kill her brother.

"Some wounds don't heal," said Peterson Mingo, with the Cincinnati Initiative to Reduce Violence. "They fester. They're open."

Chianne said she hopes someone will come forward and provide answers that can finally allow her family to move forward and heal.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call Cincinnati Police.
