Police investigate second homicide in fewer than 24 hours

CINCINNATI — Police have identified the woman shot and killed in South Fairmont Sunday morning as 35-year-old Kimberly Lorman.

Officers from the Cincinnati Police Department responded to an apartment complex in the 2100 block of Queen City Avenue in for gunshots heard in the area.

When they got to the scene, officers found Lorman dead and one man shot in the shoulder. The man's injuries are non-life threatening.

No suspect information is available at this time. Police are still investigating the incident.

Earlier Sunday morning, CPD officers officers found 31-year-old Benoit Essex shot to death in the 500 block of Orient Avenue in Spring Grove Village. No suspect information is available for this homicide investigation either.
