MADISON COUNTY, Ohio — A body found along Interstate 71 southwest of Columbus has been identified as a Cincinnati man, according to Madison County Sheriff John Swaney.
The body of Rodney Watkins was found along northbound I-71 in Range Township near mile marker 80, Swaney said.
A passerby called authorities after they saw the body along the highway at about 3:09 a.m. Thursday.
First responders transported Watkins to the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy.
Authorities are asking anyone in the area between 2 and 3:10 a.m. to call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at 740-852-1332.
Watkins’ death is being investigated as a homicide.
