CINCINNATI — After an overwhelming response from CPS families, the produce distribution initiative originally scheduled to begin Thursday will now begin Friday.

Every Friday for the rest of the Summer, the USDA is offering CPS families a free box of produce they can pick up at one of three school sites: Roberts Academy at 1702 Grand Avenue, John P. Parker School at 5051 Anderson Place or Parker Woods Montessori at 4370 Beech Hill Lane. There will not be a produce distribution on July 3, due to the holiday.

The 22-pound box of fresh fruits and vegetables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. All households are eligible for one box every Friday through the summer.

Families can pick up their box from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at any of the three locations.

Organizers ask that you stay in your car during delivery.
