PD: Shootings overnight in OTR and Roselawn

CINCINNATI – Two shootings severely injured two men on Friday night, police said. One of the two victims has died.

The first shooting occurred near the corner of Green and Pleasant streets in Over-the-Rhine before 9 p.m. The victim suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound to the chest.

The victim, a man in his 30s, was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. The last update from police said the victim was still in critical condition.

Police said they were looking for two men in their 20s in connection to the shooting. One was described as wearing a gray hoodie and having dreadlocks. The other was wearing gray.

The second shooting took place at around 9:30 p.m. in Roselawn near the Valley Shopping Center on Reading Road.

The victim succumbed to his injuries before police arrived. The victim was identified by police as 37-year-old Jeremy Morris.

The Roselawn shooting investigation is still ongoing, District 4 police said, and no information about the suspects is available at this time.
