CINCINNATI — Police arrested a man who they said fired a gun into a car with a senior citizen and three children riding in it, injuring an 8-year-old girl.

The shooting occurred at about 1:11 p.m. last Tuesday at the intersection of Eugenie Lane and LaFeuille Avenue in Westwood after "a traffic-related dispute," police said. According to a police report, the victims were turning right onto LaFeuille and the suspect was turning left onto LaFeuille.

A 73-year-old woman, 8-year-old girl, 4-year-old girl and 12-year-old boy were riding in the car that was shot, according to police. The 8-year-old suffered a wound to the left side of her face, police said. No one else was injured.

On Friday, police arrested 28-year-old Quinton Smith. He's charged with four counts of felonious assault, two counts of having weapons under disability and two counts of carrying concealed weapons.

Police also charged Smith with one count of obstruction official business after he provided a false identification card in an attempt to avoid arrest, according to court records.

Smith is being held in the Hamilton County Justice Center.
