Arrest made in fatal Bond Hill shooting

CINCINNATI — Police arrested Monday the man they say shot and killed another man in Bond Hill late last month.

According to Cincinnati Police Sgt. Joseph Briede, 25-year-old William L. Chambers was arrested and charged with murder after, police say, he shot and killed 24-year-old Cameron Tyler Clemmons on Jan. 29.

Officers found Clemmons suffering from about five gunshot wounds in front of an apartment building on Franklin Ave. near Oakdale Ave. He was declared dead at the scene.

Bond Hill Elementary School, a few blocks from the scene, was temporarily placed on lockdown following the shooting.

Chambers was being housed at the Hamilton County Detention Center Monday.
