CINCINNATI -- A Springfield Township police cruiser crashed into the side of a College Hill home around 7:45 Friday night, punching through the wall of a front bedroom and narrowly missing one of the residents.
"A bomb exploded, it seemed like," Robert Davis, who lives in the house with his wife, said.
The car's driver, whose name has not been released, crashed into another vehicle before making the surprise entrance into Davis' home. The driver was taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center with minor injuries; other officers on the scene said they weren't sure how the collision had happened.
The Davises were in the next room over when the car burst into their home, Robert Davis said, but his wife had been in the front bedroom just seconds before. Regardless of the damage, he said he was grateful no one had been seriously injured.
"The Lord took care of us," he said. "As long as nobody got hurt, that's the best thing."
