CINCINNATI -- One person was shot in the face in Westwood Sunday night, police said.
The victim was walking on the sidewalk in front of the Shell gas station at the corner of McHenry and Harrison avenues at about 7:30 p.m. when the shooting occurred, police said.
The shooter used a small caliber gun, police said. The bullet shot through the victim's cheek.
Officers stopped a suspect in a car within minutes at the corner of Harrison Avenue and Bracken Woods Lane, where he was taken into custody, police said.
Somebody drove the victim to Mercy Health West Hospital.
It wasn't immediately clear if the shooting was related to a homicide investigation a few blocks away in Westwood Sunday night.
