CINCINNATI -- The Pleasant Ridge Remke Market store will close in late June, the company announced Monday.
Remke President Matthew Remke said the company is closing the Highland Remke Market in Pleasant Ridge to invest in remaining locations. Specifically, the Skytop and Taylor Mill stores will undergo between $500,000 and $750,000 worth of renovations.
"It's always a difficult decision to close a store," he said. "We will continue delivering on out promise of a local, neighborhood grocery with exceptional service in a convenient location."
The Highland Remke employs 54 people. The company hopes to transition as many employees as possible to other Remke locations, according to a press release from the company.
The Highland Avenue store will close on June 25, but the date is dependent on inventory liquidation.
