CINCINNATI — A passenger was killed when a car crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer on Interstate 75 Friday afternoon, police said.
The victim was identified as 50-year-old Lisa Landrum.
The car driver, 27-year-old David Cooper Jr., failed to leave assured clear distance ahead, striking the tractor-trailer, according to a release.
The crash occurred about 1 p.m. in the southbound lanes at the 1.9 mile marker.
Cooper and the trucker were not injured. All three people in the vehicles were wearing seatbelts.
Police said neither excessive speed nor impairment appeared to be a factor in the crash.
Witnesses are asked to call the Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
