CINCINNATI -- Hamilton County Job and Family Services will temporarily shut down a pair of services starting Thursday.

According to the agency, county residents who receive food assistance or cash assistance will not be able to access case information from Aug. 23 through Aug. 27.

Hamilton County Job and Family Services is converting all food and cash assistance cases to a new computer system. The agency will not be able to process cases, make case updates or provide information about those cases.

The agency will be able to conduct interviews and answer general questions about those programs. No other programs will be affected during the system conversion.

The food assistance and cash assistance programs are expected to be back up and running by Tuesday, Aug. 28.

According to Hamilton County Job and Family Services, about 115,000 Hamilton County residents receive food assistance each month. About 11,000 Hamilton County mothers and children receive cash assistance monthly.
