CINCINNATI -- An off-duty Cincinnati police officer was arrested Monday after he was carrying a rifle while drunk, according to court documents.

The Hamilton County Municipal Court complaint states officer David Jenkins was under the influence of alcohol while "acting as a police officer in an official capacity while off duty."

He was carrying an AR-15-style rifle, according to the complaint.

The complaint, signed by Sgt. Michael Whitis, said Jenkins was searching hallways and "engage(d) in police activity."
