CINCINNATI — At least two drivers hit an off-duty Cincinnati Police Department officer and her car on north I-75 near Cincinnati State, Sunday morning, shutting the highway down for hours, according to CPD.
The officer was driving to her home in her own car when she saw a person walking on the highway, according to police. She pulled over, thought the person was intoxicated and waited for police to arrive to handle the person.
While they waited, police said at least two other drivers lost control of their vehicles, striking her car and her left leg. Her injuries are non-life threatening. Another CPD officer drove her to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
