CINCINNATI -- Fresh Thyme Farmers Market will close its Oakley location at the beginning of May, according to a news release from the grocery chain.
"While we do have many stores who outperform our expectations and are excited about all the success we are seeing, we are continuing to refine our overall strategy and sometimes closing stores is a part of that process," company President and CEO Chris Sherrell said in a news release. "We take the well-being of our staff very seriously -- this was not an easy decision for us. We will do everything we can to ease this transition for them. We will continue our mission of making fresh, organic food accessible and affordable."
Oakley's will be the second Fresh Thyme location to leave Greater Cincinnati in the last year -- a sister location in Anderson Township closed its doors forgood in September 2017.
According to the company's news release, all items at the soon-to-close location will be sold at a 30 percent discount beginning April 19.
