CINCINNATI -- Around 400 Oakley filmgoers were greeted personally Tuesday night by the star of the documentary they’d come to see: Andrew Leurck, the 18-year-old subject of "Drew Gets It."

"Drew Gets It" is the Leurck family’s submission to the Cincinnati ReelAbilities Film Festival, an event featuring films that celebrate people who, like Andrew, live with physical and developmental disabilities.

Andrew Leurck has drawn rainbows every day for more than 11 years, and he often gives them to strangers to remind them that they’re special. His family last year wallpapered their house with hundreds of the drawings he had created over the years.

The Drew’s Rainbows project culminated in the production of "Drew Gets It," which his parents said they hope will help put a spotlight on the special qualities of other people who live with disabilities.
