CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati police said Thursday a suspect recently robbed two Northside women in broad daylight -- and then made his getaway on two wheels.

It isn’t uncommon to see a woman walking alone in Northside. During the day, many residents, such as Alessandra Stellino, believe the area must be safe.

“I don’t carry any protection or anything (on my way home from class) because I assume it’s safe before midnight," Stellino said.

That isn’t always true. Chris Barlow, who works at Sidewinder Coffee, said he heard about the robberies from the victims themselves.

“It’s kind of insane for something like that to happen in broad daylight," he said. “It makes you think about locking your doors at night and keeping everything locked up."

Pictures posted on a local Facebook group show a bald white man in dark clothing whom police believe is the suspect in these incidents. He committed the robberies and then rode away on a bicycle, according to Barlow.

According to a Facebook post, he also threatened at least one of the victims at gunpoint.

“It makes me feel really sad that women have to be worried for one more thing," Stellino said.

Police said they were aggressively investigating the robberies. Until an arrest is made, neighborhood residents plan to keep an eye out for the suspect. If you think you may have information about the suspect in these incidents, you can contact Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
