CINCINNATI -- Crews worked to contain a church fire in North Fairmount at about 12:15 a.m. Wednesday as some people were still celebrating Independence Day.

The fire chief said the blaze at Pentecostal Holiness Church of All Saints on Carll Street was likely caused by fireworks since witnesses said they saw children playing with fireworks on the street earlier in the evening.

The fire started on the roof and spread into the attic, the fire chief said.
