HEBRON, Ky. -- Temporary loss of power at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport caused a backup for passengers at security checkpoints, according to spokesperson Mindy Kershner.
The airport briefly lost power at about 3 p.m. Friday, according to CVG’s Twitter account.
A power outage event is underway. We're working to restore power to the affected areas as quickly as possible and apologize for the impact.

Kershner said full power was restored in the concourse and terminal by 5 p.m., but the outage caused a backup at checkpoints.
Security was running about 15-30 minutes behind as of Friday evening, and the backup should be cleared out in the coming hours, Kershner said.
