CINCINNATI -- "Orange is the New Black" star Lea DeLaria has canceled her appearances in Cincinnati this weekend, including as celebrity grand marshal of the Cincinnati Pride Parade Saturday, event organizers announced Friday night.
While DeLaria won't be showing up, the parade will still have a community leader grand marshal, Chuck Beatty.
"We are honored to have Chuck representing Cincinnati Pride this year as the sole Grand Marshal of our Parade," event organizers wrote.
The parade starts at 11 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Seventh Street and Central Avenue. It will travel to Mehring Way near the entrance to Yeatman's Cove and Sawyer Point. The Pride Festival continues until 9 p.m.
And while DeLaria will be missing out on Cincinnati, she will apparently be appearing as grand marshal of the Chicago Pride Parade Sunday.
DeLaria's management company didn't immediately reply to a request for comment Friday evening.
