CINCINNATI -- A driver hit a pedestrian as she was crossing Madison Road Sunday afternoon, police said. The pedestrian was not in a crosswalk.

Antoinette Thompson, 36, was driving a 2014 silver Dodge Avenger westbound when she struck 80-year-old Ann Zeff, who was crossing the street, police said.

First responders transported Zeff to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. She sustained serious injuries.

Excessive speed and impairment were not factors in the crash, police said.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Traffic Unit is investigating, and anyone with information should call 513-352-2514.
