CINCINNATI -- A Facebook Live video captured a chaotic scene outside of a Cincinnati nightclub after gunfire killed one person and injured 16 others early Sunday morning.
“Everybody’s dead,” someone said as people rushed to escape the crowded nightclub.
The Cincinnati Police Department Homicide Unit was called to Cameo Night Club, a large, warehouse-style nightclub on Kellogg Avenue, at about 2:20 a.m. The crime likely was the culmination of a dispute that began earlier Saturday, city spokesman Rocky Merz said.
O'Bryan Spikes, 27, was the victim who died, Police Chief Eliot Isaac said.
Investigators believe multiple people opened fire, and no one has been arrested.
Police originally reported 15 people were injured, but Isaac said 16 people were injured during a press conference Monday morning.
Mayor John Cranley called the act “evil,” and said anyone with information needs to come forward.
"We need people to have courage to come forward to identify the shooter or shooters in this case," Cranley said.

Other city and state officials took to social media to express condolences to the victims and their families.
Four off-duty officers were working a private security detail outside the club. Sgt. Dan Hils, president of Cincinnati’s police union, said the scene they and other officers encountered when they rushed inside may have left them disturbed.
"You see something like that, that doesn’t leave you right away," Hils said.
Hils said officers were literally stepping over victims to get to those most critically injured.
