Police investigate Saturday crash as homicide

CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati police are now investigating the death of a 21-year-old man who crashed early Saturday morning in East Westwood as a homicide.

At about 5 a.m., the man was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Westwood Northern Boulevard, police said. He lost control of his vehicle near the 2300 block of the road and veered into a wooded area.

The car crashed and caught fire, according to Cincinnati police. The driver was wearing a seatbelt but was found dead at the scene.

The Hamilton County coroner ruled the death a homicide; the driver was not identified by Cincinnati police.
