CINCINNATI — All it took was a few buckets of paint and dozens of volunteers to give Roberts Academy in East Price Hill an extreme makeover.

“It’s truly amazing and very inspiring,” said Max Dubois of Give Back Cincinnati, the group of young professionals leading the volunteer project.

The non-profit group sought to live up to its name Saturday morning by painting vibrant murals at the elementary school, building handmade benches and penning motivational quotes on school walls to help students get through the day.

“Having that ability to come into the schools, paint the murals and really beautify the school to make it a place where kids will want to wake up every morning to come to the school is really inspiring,” Dubois said.

Give Back Cincinnati volunteer Michael Young agreed it was inspiring to offer young students a brighter place to learn and work in a community that the non-profit helps often. They're hoping to pass that excitement and passion on to students.

“We were here last night helping stencil and the students were excited, they were engaged and it was just cool to be around,” Young said.
