CINCINNATI — A driver, whose vehicle was struck by a falling tree in early February, has died, according to WHIO.

Ellen Grieshop, 52, from Beavercreek, Ohio, was driving on West Galbraith Road around 11 a.m. on Feb. 6 when a tree fell on top of her vehicle. She then lost control of the vehicle, drove off the side of the road and hit another tree before her vehicle flipped.

After she was freed from the vehicle by first responders, Grieshop was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Grieshop was in a coma before succumbing to her injuries Friday.

“She fought to the very end, but the injuries were just too much to overcome,” her husband John wrote in a message posted to a Go Fund Me page for the Grieshop family. "I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and support."
