CINCINNATI -- One of the drivers involved in a crash on Columbia Parkway on May 18 has died, police announced Tuesday.
Fernando Gomez, 40, was driving a 2006 Honda Civic west at about 5:23 a.m. when he went left-of-center and hit an oncoming 2005 Acura TL in the eastbound lane, police said.
Gomez was wearing his seatbelt, but suffered serious injuries. He was treated at University of Cincinnati Medical Center but died Tuesday, police said.
The other driver was not wearing his seatbelt and also suffered serious injuries. He was still in serious condition at UC Medical Center.
Police don't believe excessive speed or impairment were factors in the crash. They asked any witnesses to call the Traffic unit at 513-352-2514.
