CINCINNATI -- Hot, humid weather calls for tropical refreshment! JameriSol, one of the current Cincy Pop Shop vendors, is now offering the perfect way to beat the heat.

JameriSol is launching CRISS, a new line of Jamaican-inspired juice-blend beverages, at a special event at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at 617 Vine St. that features the juices, a DJ and few surprises.

CRISS juices are 100 percent natural and vegan, with the name derived from a Jamaican phrase meaning "all is OK," representing the ethos behind all of JameriSol's products. These refreshing drinks are the perfect accompaniment to JameriSol's vegan grab-and-go options, also available at the Pop Shops through the end of July.

JameriSol works in collaboration with three other local entrepreneurs at the storefront at 617 Vine St., which will also be open during the celebration. G(O)OD Co. will have its special logo T-shirts and hats for sale, the Native Brand will have its Cincinnati-themed apparel, and Slim Furniture will provide an area for visitors to sit and socialize, highlighting its easy-to-assemble furniture.

Cincy Pop Shops are open through July 30 at 617 Vine St. The organization seeks to catalyze retail offerings that appeal to the diversity of the Cincinnati market by providing small and unique business opportunities. Cincy Pop Shop is powered by the partnership of Downtown Cincinnati Inc. and the city working together on the Downtown Retail Action Plan.
