Police shut down Columbia Parkway Wednesday afternoon following a crash that marked one of Cincinnati's most vital traffic arteries with a 40-foot oil spill.
Officers said the wrecked car was quickly moved off the road, but the oil spill forced them to keep the interstate closed until transportation officials could arrive with sand to counteract it.
The road re-opened around 5:30 p.m.
