Posted

Communities across the Tri-State will pause Friday to remember the thousands of lives lost 14 years ago in the largest terrorist attack to take place on U.S. soil.

In one of the larger area events, people will gather in Crescent Springs, Kentucky for the dedication of the Northern Kentucky 9/11 Memorial
The memorial, in the Crescent Springs Community Park at 805 Buttermilk Pike, will stand as a reminder of the first responders and people who died on that fateful day when 19 terrorists highjacked four commercial airplanes in the early morning hours.

Two of those planes were flown into the World Trade Center in New York City and one was flown into the Pentagon in Washington D.C. The fourth plane went down in a field in Pennsylvania after passengers overtook the terrorists onboard.
