CINCINNATI -- Greater Cincinnati Water Works customers will now pay their water bills monthly as opposed to quarterly.
Cincinnati City Council and the Hamilton County Commissioners requested the change, according to a news release from the water company.
"There are many benefits to monthly bbilling -- it will allow customers to more effectively manage their bill, view monthly consumption and get regular updates, just to name a few," the news release said.
Customers will use January as a "catch-up month," where customers will pay varying amounts based on their last quarterly bill. The first "true monthly bill" will arrive in February 2018, the news release said.
