An hour and thousands of Facebook shares after it started, the search for a missing Price Hill teen with autism was abruptly canceled Monday afternoon.
The girl at its center, whom police had been especially concerned about finding before overnight snow and cold arrived, had never really be missing at all, police Lt. Steve Saunders said. The search began around 3 p.m. and ended at 4:30, when Saunders announced the 13-year-old's disappearance had been falsely reported.
By 6, another teenager had been arrested in connection to the search. Cordell Wigle, 19, stands charged with a misdemeanor count of making false alarms.
