CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Museum Center is getting children focused on science during their winter breaks. The first phase of the Cincinnati Museum Center’s Science Interactives Gallery opens to the public Friday.

The gallery is a new area focused on applied sciences. Activities in the exhibit teach kids about power, wind energy and how turbines work.

Using a mist generator, cloud rings teach kids about how clouds form. Air cannons are used to teach future scientists about the remarkable power of wind, and a game of tug-of-war helps educate kids about fulcrums and levers.

Science Interactives Gallery is set to expand in spring of 2019.
