CINCINNATI -- Cincinnati police found eight stolen guns and more than 220 grams of heroin in a Colerain Avenue home Wednesday, according to a news release from Lieutenant Steve Saunders.

The Cincinnati Police Department’s Gang Enforcement Squad arrested Samuel Gray, 36, who they said had the drugs and stolen property. Gray has been charged with multiple counts of drug trafficking, drug possession and having weapons under disability.

Police said Gray is a convicted felon who should not have access to any firearms, let alone the extensive stockpile -- two semi-automatic handguns, two assault rifles, two scoped hunting rifles and two shotguns, according to police -- discovered in the home.

"Seven of the firearms were stolen during a burglary offense in Reading, Ohio," Saunders wrote in the news release. “One of the firearms was taken during a theft offense in Delhi, Ohio."

Gray is currently being held by police on a $500,000 bond.
