CINCINNATI – Students from Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy traded their beds for cardboard boxes Sunday night as part of a lesson about the problems that face homeless people every day.

In Cincinnati, 25,000 people experience homelessness each year. The homeless population has increased by 150 percent over the past 15 years.

While one night in the cold isn’t as serious as real homelessness, the students also learned about the history of homelessness here and spoke to a formerly homeless woman.
