Chelsea Clinton 'can't wait to meet Fiona' during Cincinnati visit

Posted

There's one thing on which Democrats, Republicans and all the rest can hopefully agree: Fiona the hippo, Cincinnati's unofficial ruler and religion, is absolutely adorable.

Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton is raring to meet the Cincinnati Zoo's most famous resident when she visits Cincinnati Oct. 15, she tweeted Wednesday.

Not a celebrity crush in a weird way, she later clarified.

"(It's) more akin to my love for elephants, Dorothy Dunnett's books, good female detective novels, Pride & Prejudice, coffee, Foyle's War, crisp apples," she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

Having both grown up in the public eye -- Clinton as a teenager in the White House and Fiona as a social media star from the moment of her birth -- the pair will have a lot to talk about when they meet.

Or -- well -- they would, if Fiona could speak English.

Clinton will be in Cincinnati Oct. 15 to sign copies of her new book, "Start Now! You Can Make a Difference," at Joseph-Beth Booksellers. Anyone interested in attending the event can buy tickets online.
