CINCINNATI - One of the Queen City’s most popular and longest-running restaurants is closing, according to the Business Courier.

The Celestial atop Mount Adams will close July 15 after 55 years.

The restaurant offered a panoramic view of Downtown and the riverfront and enhanced Cincinnati’s reputation as a center for fine dining, established in the 1960s and 70s by the Maisonette, Pigall’s and The Gourmet.

The restaurant space is being taken over by Funky's Catering, which will operate it as an event space, the Business Courier reported.
