Ohio's early voting period kicked off Wednesday morning, former President Bill Clinton will campaign for Hillary Clinton at public events Friday in Cincinnati and Cleveland. 

The Cincinnati rally will be held at Washington Park; doors open at 1:30 p.m. A news release from the Clinton campaign says the former president will be "urging Ohioans to vote early."

Democrats appear to be hitting the Buckeye State hard as President Barack Obama has planned appearances for Thursday in Columbus and Friday in Cleveland.

The Republican nominee, Donald Trump, will appear at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati. Thursday's event is Trump's first official campaign rally in Cincinnati.
