CINCINNATI -- A 79-year-old woman was killed in a house fire early Sunday in the city's Avondale neighborhood, according to the Hamilton County Coroner's Office.
Cincinnati firefighters were called to a residence near Merzen Court and Vine Street at about 6:30 a.m., where they found Irene Bryant on the home's top floor.
District Fire Chief Mike Washington said it didn't appear anyone else was home.
No other information was immediately available.
