CINCINNATI -- An anonymous donor has added $5,000 to the reward for finding who shot and killed 9-year-old Alexandrea Thompson in Mount Auburn last month, city council member Yvette Simpson said Thursday.
That makes the total reward $17,000.

Alexandrea and her 39-year-old father were shot in a home on Jan. 18. The girl died the next day; her father survived. Three people were seen going into the home where the victims were found and later ran away, police said
City leaders have urged people to come forward with information. The Cincinnati Police Department has been pushing its program, Cincinnati Citizens Respect our Witnesses (CCROW), in the hopes of convincing witnesses to cooperate.
