CINCINNATI — An addiction treatment facility for veterans has received a $50,000 grant from the Greater Cincinnati Foundation (GCF) to launch an outpatient pilot program.

Located in Over-The-Rhine, Joseph House announced Thursday their plan to use the funding to start an eight-week intervention program for veterans in the Hamilton County Justice Center.

Alicia Patterson, Joseph House Executive Director, said the partnership with GCF will connect an evidence-based outpatient curriculum with at-risk vets.

“Our military has been involved in one of the longest periods of warfighting in our country’s history, and the stress, multiple deployments and combat exposure often leave lasting, ‘invisible’ injuries on our service members,” Patterson said.

The program will be a collaboration between Joseph House, the Hamilton County Court and the Department of Veterans Affairs.
